The Website Is Live: Looking Back, Moving Forward

After many months of planning, writing, recording and second-guessing myself, my website is finally live.

If you've arrived here after watching my recent YouTube videos, welcome.

Over the last few days I've shared a story that I've never really told publicly before: my experience playing Aragorn in The Hunt for Gollum and the complicated journey that followed. For years, I avoided talking about that chapter of my life. Launching the YouTube channel has given me the opportunity to reflect on it honestly, acknowledge both the highs and the lows, and finally put that story into perspective.

One thing that has surprised me since launching the channel is how many people still remember The Hunt for Gollum. Some viewers have told me they watched it back in 2009. Others have only just discovered it for the first time. Either way, I'm grateful that the film continues to resonate with people all these years later.

But this website isn't just about looking backwards.

It's about what comes next.

My current creative focus is Incursion: Earth, my debut science-fiction novel. The project has been years in the making and represents a completely new chapter of my creative life. If you've enjoyed my thoughts on storytelling, filmmaking and world-building, I hope you'll follow the development of the novel as it moves closer to publication.

Alongside Incursion: Earth, I'm also revisiting a project that means a great deal to me personally: John Commando.

Originally filmed as an independent feature production many years ago, the project never reached the audience I had hoped it would. Rather than allowing it to remain unfinished, I'm now rebuilding John Commando as a graphic novel using a combination of the original screenplay, surviving footage and modern creative tools. It's an ambitious undertaking, but one I'm excited to share with readers in the months ahead.

In many ways, this website represents a bridge between several different chapters of my life.

Actor.

Author.

Filmmaker.

Storyteller.

For a long time I viewed those chapters as separate things. Increasingly, I'm beginning to realise they're all part of the same journey.

If you'd like to follow that journey, please consider joining the newsletter. I'll be sharing updates on Incursion: Earth, John Commando, the YouTube channel and everything else I'm creating along the way.

Thank you for visiting the site and for taking the time to read.

The past is important, but the future is where the adventure begins.
